Shipping and Delivery Policy

At Vintage Porcelain Signs Store, we understand that shipping a 50-pound piece of glass-fused steel requires more than just a cardboard box. We have perfected a specialized industrial-grade crating system to ensure that your authentic Americana arrives in the same condition it left our gallery.


1. Domestic Shipping (USA)

We proudly ship to all 50 states. Due to the weight and fragile nature of porcelain enamel, we utilize premium carriers including FedEx, UPS, and specialized freight services for oversized items.

  • Standard Processing: Most orders are crated and dispatched within 3–5 business days.
  • Oversized Items: Signs exceeding 30 inches or 50 pounds may require freight shipping, which can add 2–3 days to the handling time for custom pallet construction.

2. Professional Crating & Packaging

We don’t just ship signs; we protect history. Our “Safe-Arrival” process includes:

  • Custom-Fit Inner Sleeves: To prevent surface abrasions and micro-scratches.
  • Double-Walled Protection: High-impact foam or wood-reinforced crating for all investment-grade pieces.
  • Edge Guarding: Specialized reinforcement to prevent “spidering” or enamel pops at the corners and mounting holes.

3. Shipping Insurance

Every shipment is fully insured for its total purchase value. In the rare event of a transit mishap, your investment is protected. The cost of insurance is included in our shipping quotes, providing you with total peace of mind from our door to yours.

4. Real-Time Tracking

Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email containing your tracking number and a link to the carrier’s portal. You can also monitor your delivery status directly on our Track Your Order page.

5. Freight Delivery & Liftgate Service

For very large signs (such as 6-foot dealership rounds or neon-porcelain units):

  • Items will be delivered via a freight truck.
  • Liftgate Service: We typically include liftgate service to ensure the crate can be lowered safely to the ground at your residence or place of business.
  • Inspection Required: Someone must be present to sign for freight deliveries. Please inspect the external crate for damage before signing the Bill of Lading.

6. International Shipping

While we primarily serve the USA, we can facilitate international shipping for our global collectors. Please contact us directly for a custom quote. Note that the buyer is responsible for all import duties, taxes, and customs fees imposed by their home country.

7. Local Pickup

If you are located near our headquarters or will be attending one of the major USA Collector Shows we frequent, we offer free local pickup. Please contact us prior to purchase to coordinate a pickup time and location.


Important Reminder

If a package arrives with visible external damage, please take photos before opening it and notify the driver immediately. Refer to our Refund and Return Policy for detailed instructions on reporting shipping claims.
